She's doing great!!

Hello!

Today is Sunday, December 16th, and we've been home wrapping gifts since it's snowing so bad outside. But we had a great day!

Last week we went for our ultrasound. Today we are 23 weeks along, and last week she weighed 1 lb, 2 oz-she's doing great!! Tomorrow I have an appointment with our OB-GYN for a regular appointment, and then another ultrasound on December 31st. Can't believe it's almost January!!

Here are 4-D images of Addison from last week's ultrasound. Here you can really see her face, and her practicing to talk on a phone...great :)

We'll update after the holidays!! Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Good morning!

Wanted to share that we did have our follow-up ultrasound on Thursday, and Miss Addison looks great! They were able to get good images of her heart, and everything looks as it should. So, the doctor came in after the ultrasound to explain that at this point the only abnormality they detect is the single umbilical artery. GREAT NEWS!!!!
While we were waiting for the doctor, Nick had fun trying on the latex gloves and fooling around with the equipment...can only imagine what the delivery experience will be like :)
Now, we will continue to have monthly checkups and more frequent ultrasounds to keep an eye on Addison's growth. I believe the doctor said at this point she is about 10 ounces-right where she should be.

So, happy December, and will keep you all posted on how we are doing!

IT'S A GIRL~IT'S A GIRL~IT'S A GIRL~IT'S A GIRL~IT'S A GIRL~IT'S A GIRL
We had our 20 week ultrasound, and here SHE is...these images are sometimes tough to make out, but this is a side profile, and she is facing to the left
and SHE has a name...
ADDISON KATHLEEN CAIAZZO
At the ultrasound, things looked good, however they did find that she has what is known as "single umbilical artery." We will be going in every 2-3 weeks for ultrasounds to monitor her growth because of this. Normally an umbilical cord has two arteries and one vein...she has one artery and one vein. This could be completely ok and not cause any problems, or there could be development issues/cardiac issues. The good thing is they spotted it now, and can monitor her closely. My bloodwork came back normal, and the rest of the ultrasound looked great. She is right where she wants to be in terms of weight...keep us in your thoughts!!
Our next ultrasound will be this Thursday...will post again after that.

Hello!!

Thought this would be a good way for people to stay updated on how we are ALL doing. Can't believe we are 20 weeks along! This photo is of Baby Caiazzo at 8 weeks...notice the halo?
The first trimester was interesting...early on, I felt fabulous. I thought pregnancy was a breeze...until I started having the nausea and vomiting. Also, we found out early on that there had been another sac-yes, that's right...twins they believe. It was pretty amazing to hear that we could have had two on the way. However, for whatever reason, the second embryo didn't make it, and so we have the one bambino growing strong...
